A highly trained and experienced teacher (and seasoned performer) in a wide variety of musical styles, Matt knows how to effectively convey all manner of musical concepts to children and adults of every skill level, with a passion for helping them thoroughly enjoy music by becoming the best instrumentalists they can be.

 

Although he specializes in piano lessons and trumpet lessons, Matt also offers instruction in music theory, composition, improvisation and arranging to all musicians.

  • All method book series used

  • Assistance with school band, jazz band, orchestra music; preparation for district band/jazz auditions

  • Supplemental instruction in playing by ear, improvisation, and creating harmony parts
